Without exception, family and friends that we've told that we bought the Spyder have asked, "Do you guys wear helmets?" It's baffling to me as Missouri has a helmet law. Plus, anyone the knows us knows we'd wear helmet.

People who see us on the beast have been overwhelming supportive and respectful. We recently had a 20 minute conversation in the grocery store parking lot with a retire couple looking into one. So far, no douchers, although my boss said it looked like a lawn mower. I replied, "A $26k, 998cc lawn mower? That's an interesting comparison" and promptly laughed. My boss is an idiot.

I have thought it over and your right I have not been asked that one, but I have had the alien comment. The one comment I get often that was not covered is when I open the trunk to put the helmet and jacket away people walk over and ask if I am having trouble.

LOL......A girl at work a couple of weeks ago said to me, I like your new lawnmower or tractor, what ever that thing is that you bought....... So know my hubby asked if I want to go for a ride on the lawnmower.......:roflblack:!!!!
