• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today's the day! I take delivery this afternoon..

And, you guys want to hear something else that is really neat about ZZ's, and my dealer? He sells 20oz. Cokes for $.50!!!!!! :clap:How cool is that? Yeah! The same cokes that most machines sell for $1.25-$1.50. $.50! He told me they cost him about $.70 each. But, he likes doing a little something extra for his customers. :firstplace:

Will my dealer gives the 12oz cokes away for free. Had to through that in.

Seriously though congrats man. After reading all your post I kinda feel like I was waiting 3 months with ya. Glad that your Spyder has finally made it to you.

Looking forward to reading your ride report. :2thumbs:

What a great day! Everything was done, and I left the dealer at about 3:50PM yesterday. Temps in the lower 90s. From the dealer, it's 31 miles back to the house. Yeah; I was a bit nervous at first. ;) I decided to take some 4 lane roads - not interstate, and backroads, as well. And, then onto the main highway (64) that leads to Oakland, through Oakland proper, and out to our place. I varied the speed and RPMs quite a bit.

We were home about 20 minutes; just enough time for my wife to put her car in the garage, grab a quick bite to eat, and we were gone! This was the first time she had been on a bike (Spyder) in years! Many years! And, of course, it has been 30 years since I have ridden. Not to mention; riding 2 up.

We decided to hit the backroads, and just ride. It was fantastic. We later went over to our Son's house, and visited for a few minutes. And, then; we got on the interstate for a few miles. It was dark by then. The Spyder, riding 2 up, is wonderful! I hardly even noticed her back there. Passing power was still great, too! Wow! With the 1" Riser, I think I am set!

We still had not had dinner. So; after getting off the interstate, we hit the obligatory back roads to get back to Highway 64 that leads back to Oakland. We decided, we were going to dine like Royalty! We went to SONIC Drive In in Oakland! Oh Yeah! We pulled up, parked, and sat at one the little tables, and enjoyed #2 Double Cheeseburgers, Tots, Onion Rings, and Cranberry Slushes.

Yeah! Me! Saturday night 8:30PM, and not a beer in sight! From the Sonic, we live another 7 miles east. We headed out, stopped by to visit some friends for a few minutes, then rode back to the house.

All told; we rode 111 miles. It was fantastic! And, my wife loved it! In an hour or so, we are hooking up with ZZ for a morning ride of a 100 miles or so.

Here are some photos, I took this morning.....

Yeah!! That was a great time, Tim! And, you're quite w elcome. When we got back home, we had clocked just over 157 miles for the day. The ride over to Chickasaw was really nice, too! I had forgotten it was 22 miles down highway 100 from highway 64. What a blast!! :)
