• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today's rock n roll moment

 :2thumbs:
A wee bit before my music, but it's easy to pick out the songs that were influenced by his style... :firstplace:

They always lip-Synched on Bandstand. Note that he has no cord on his guitar. The cordless connection wasn't invented at that time.

Diddley was the MAN back then.

If you watch carefully, he is corded

You are right... I just watched it full screen and there is a cord there. My eyes are getting older and weaker.

That clip may be from prior to '56 when Bob Horn hosted Bandstand. He may have allowed guests to sing live. My understanding is that Dick Clark would never allow them to perform live as he was afraid of losing control of things.

Horn was fired after getting a DUI and Clark was hired to replace him.

The set looks too nice for American Bandstand. I saw the white cords right off as the guys were not in front of microphones and had to walk down to them. I liked that one of the women also had a guitar....not just a backup singer. You go girl!
Watching that fancy footwork maybe gave MJ the idea of the moon walk?
