• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today I felt a little older

While going through the local newspaper's obits. Seeing if I was there...I saw an olde friend there...He was 67.. As I tomorrow.....played Koury League Baseball with him..he was a Southpaw..that also caught with his left hand...I was the catcher...he was fast...had bruises on my hand to prove it..I saw him a couple of months ago at a mini mart...barely recognized him..he was hobbling around..had a knee transplant that went bad, he told me.. Said its heck getting old isn't it? I had this look on my face to which he smiled and said....you're not old yet, right? I smiled and we talked a while... Now he's gone.....I'm kinda stunned...seems we get to where we are before we know it... See u later on the ball diamond Keith

Very true indeed, we'll all get there. Some quicker than others even though it is still one day at a time.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your life long friend. I'm sure you will reminisce several other stories, in your mind if not on the site, that involve your friend in the weeks to come.

Sorry for your loss. I know exactly what you mean. We have lost two high school classmates so far this year. Since September four of the guys I worked with at my last duty station have passed. It makes you really consider your mortality.

Sorry to hear..!!

It is tough...can't dwell on it keep doing all you want to and when you can't move on to some thing else. Just don't stop..!! Try not to slow down..!! That just runs you into the ground quicker..'s to family and friends...

Prayers going out to all of his family and friends...
The Missus and I were at a funeral yesterday... The man was a lifelong friend of our family, and was 92 years young...
He and my Dad used to dabble in harness racing a little bit. (Well; that just means that they lost a pile of money...). They had pictures from those pleasant times on display, and it brought back some great memories.

sorry for loss of a friend never good news to here...
As for age there are a few things to remember its all mind over matter if you don't mind it don’t matter.
My old uncle told me Every Day above ground is a good Day.
remenber the good days and the good times :chat: with friends...jtpollock

Sorry about the loss of the friend.

As the time line progresses, thoughts about mortality seem to occur more often. I also take note more than I did even ten years ago.

sat in a goose blind one day with a great friend and his dad. his dad had retired five years before and had struggled with cancer for three or four of his retired years. joe looked me straight in the face that day and thru his "trake tube" said, and i quote,"why do they call these the f---ing golden years?" i didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. he has since passed and we miss his presence! god bless your friend and his family!!

Sorry for your loss. I know well how that feels. At over 79 years I have buried a lot friends and riding with the PGR, been at funeral for guy 20, 30 years younger then me. Just keep doing what you can, as long as you can. No, I am not in the best of shape anymore, my 300 mile days are in the past, but 60, 70 mile days are still fun
Ride on, be safe and have fun

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Many of us are at an age where this is becoming too common and it brings us to realize our own mortality and perhaps to appreciate what we have a little more.
An elderly neighbour of ours used to say that the only thing golden about her golden years was her urine.
