There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2009 was not a problamatic year for the Spyder. I would go with less mileage for the same price as one with 20K on it. Good idea to check out the service history on both Spyder's. This can be done through the dealer by running the Vin # I believe.

Get the warranty.

I'd go for the warranty any time. 3 years, 30,000 or more miles for lotsof folks. Something is bound to break. That being said, I normally don't get extended, but did on a qualifying Harley FXDX and the darn thing went 4 years and NOTHING broke. Tires and a set of brakes and of course the mx. Have purchased two cars with ext warranty. One broke every April, just like clockwork and the a/c and electrical systems acted up all the time. My Prius is all electric and only has 60,000 on it. Had one computer and a water pump under regular warranty. The Spyder is virtually all electric and I got the extended on it too. With only 8,000 and 4 months, I'm in good shape. A 16,000 mile in differece is more than overlooked by the 3 years (or whatever) of coverage in my book.

I'm retracting this statement....I've seen bikes with 20K that look like they just rolled off the showroom floor, and I've seen bikes with 4K that look like junk! Buy the one in the best condition....inspect both carefully and determine which one was taken better care of....and buy that one.
If they are in identical condition then follow my previous post. Good luck, decisions like this are rough.

No problems on my 2008 except for the DPS replacement. Put 22,500 miles on it before I traded on the 2010 RTS.
2009--we had a computer crash at 1500 miles--replaced, and DPS done. 23,000 miles and still going.
