• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To Cuba MO, Nashville TN, and back to Waukee IA

My first road trip has now successfully been completed. I had a lot of firsts on this trip, first bike rally, first long distance ride, first ride in rain, and first time running at 70 mph for long continuous stretches. Learned my butt doesn't like to sit in the seat for long periods and had to do something about that, so I bought an Ultimate seat at Spyderfest. Going to Nashville again more rain, more prolonged running at 70 mph plus, still had a sore butt at the end. Home now after two days running from Nashville to Waukee, IA. Loved how the Spyder handled and now looking forward to my next trip. I'm hoping more time in the saddle will reduce this pain in the rear I have now.

Back when I had my stock saddle and made a long ride, my butt took more than a few days to get back to not being so sore. Maybe just a week of short riding will give your butt the break it needs to fully appreciate your new Ultimate seat.

Forgot to include that at one refueling stop I got he check transmission warning light and thanks to info in this forum knew to check oil level as. Checked and found level was low. Added oil and error was gone.

Glad to hear you had a safe trip. Sorry to hear that your new seat didn't solve the sore butt issue. Do you have risers installed? They might shift your riding position and take some of the stress off the backside.

have you thought of floorboards? I have ISCI's floorboards and cruiser boards which let me "stretch" my legs a bit when riding...

Floorboards are definitely my next mod before my next trip. Plus I need to adjust my easy risers a little. Both will help I think. Now I have to decide which floorboard to get. I was able to check out a few at Spyderfest.

Glad you made it home safe from your trips.

I had the same warning light during the Devils elbow ride when going up a hill. Thanks to this site I too knew to check the oil. I also had a brake light go out and because of a post here before the trip knew to trim some plastic around the tail light so it could be replaced without having to remove my passenger backrest.

I added the BRP comfort seat and it made a world of difference on my bony butt but did need a little break in time. Give the Ultimate seat a little time and with the addition of the floor boards you should be good. :2thumbs:
