• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To cover or not to cover...

:D Hi Mike,
How many years have I been asking you to put a little bit more sugar in your morning cup of coffee?? :dontknow:
I didn't throw you under the bus: you jumped!
Sorry...

.. Thanks for throwing me under the bus again, I was wondering what took you so long :dontknow: ..... However I'm off the hook now because I see your New Best Buddy ( JVB ) has just told .....DREW NJ ..... that Drew is not as smart as He ( JVB ) is....( stripped oil plug - thread )...... !!!!!!, Mike

Got to give you credit, you are consistent!

Such a friendly and welcoming group here. I love it when the leaders of a forum are so accepting of new people and ideas! It surely makes other feel more comfortable joining in and contributing their ideas and perspectives in an atmosphere of acceptance, equality and friendship!

Please don't insult me by misinterpreting me as any type of "leader" here. I promise you that they (the spyderlovers sheep) dislike me WAY more than you could ever imagine!I'm a loner here....👍😉.

Oh! And your "new idea" is using a torque wrench on an oil drain plug?! 🤔. You'll fit in just fine around here! 😏

Nothing new about it. The manual has a tech spec for a reason. It certainly wasn't my idea. :banghead:

Moth Balls Okay?

Moth balls under ..........good luck ...... Mike

Mike, I have no indoor storage, so the Spyder will be outside all winter. I have a great cover from my old Corvette which will easily fit over the entire trike, and its breathable. My question is about the moth balls. I have mice, cats, squirrels, etc. that would love to nest under my Spyder, and maybe eat the wires and seats! Are mothballs safe for the paint, and underside of the Spyder? I'm considering a coffee can filled with moth balls placed under the cover. Your thoughts?

It won't hurt anything to do that...
Outside storage is probably the least desirable choice. nojoke
Do you have any dealerships nearby, that might be willing to store it for you? :dontknow:

My closest dealer is 50+ miles away, and would probably charge me an arm and a leg to store my Spyder. Also, because our North Carolina winters can be mild, I'd like to have the trike nearby so I can ride it on ice/snow free days. I can deal with the cold. I might look into one of those self-storage places. It would be unheated, but out of the elements, and I might have power for a battery tender.

If I leave it in the yard or at a storage place, I'm going with the mothballs for sure. Those darn mice will chew on anything. :banghead:

Another decent thread gone south!nojokeThe main reason I visit less and post rarely these days. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.:coffee:
