• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have number 148 and it was purchased back 2 yrs November. The warrenty is about to run out, so the question is. any updates will they be covered? or should I get best warranty. :spyder:

I would guess that BRP initiated recalls, service bulletins, etc. will be covered for the life of the Spyder but any other repairs will be at your expense. You have to make a judgement call as to whether the cost of the added warranty is worth it to you. Consider things like how long you plan on keeping the Spyder, how much trouble (maintenance issues) you've had with the Spyder, your ability / desire to do your own repairs on the Spyder, etc.

Thanks, I plan on keeping the spyder for a good number of years, after all it is number 148. 11k on it right now, I do my own oil changes, filter changes. Can strip the spyder of all plastic in just a few minutes. Brakes, electrical, no big deal to me. engine is where it is at though. The only repairs done on this spyder have been strictly BRP recalls, and fluid/filter changes. so weighing in on this now.:spyder:

I'll keep the BEST on mine as long as I expect the Spyder to perform like new... which is going to be quite a few years. I think the BEST is a good thing to have---- not much to pay for piece of mind.
