title and tags

nov 2016 i purchased a 2010 rs love the spyder but as of yet ive never recieved the title nor the hard tags im getting ready to head back to the dealer and yet get another temp tag 3rd one already and on top of that after 90 days or a 1000 miles have to have it maryland state inspected was told by dealer there having trouble getting title after paying cash for the thing.......just debating what to do next already put money in the hand brake and setting it up for my chair ..???????

might want too get on top of that title part , they might have received it from someone else who is stalling , or it just might be HOT HOT HOT :yikes: and it is a 2010 model , would think if it is a dealer the title would be on hand at their site ... { get the serial numbers and go too the state highway patrol guys , let them run the numbers .... will rest your mind if it doesn `t come up on the missing list ... } hope this isn` t the case for you it is just strange for amost 4 months no title ... a bit hinkey

Taking a bit long for "normal." Suggest another excursion to the dealer. There has to be a reason no title yet. Let us know what happens. :thumbup:

Hi Jim, I hope this works out good for you soon. We met at a Goldwing trike gathering in Fairhope, AL. We had a yellow trike; now have a 2014 RTL. Love it.

I would find out who has or no longer has the title...you can apply for a lost title and get it in a week. If you bought it from the dealer tell them get me the tags or give me a new spyder...and switch my hand brake...they need a harder push...:lecturef_smilie:

Call the government dept that over sees dealers. They have 45 days in most states, this is BS.

Something is "fishy in Denmark". This is totally illegal on the dealers part. Go to the local DMV and tell

them what is going on and what you should do. Show them your Bill Of Sale and name the Dealer. nojoke

Most dealers have 45 days to present a title in most states. Although it is not that uncommon for the dealer to not have the title in house as he may be using a bank to floor plan his inventory. I would definitely go to the DMW for some guidance.

this is a very serious problem. you should get it taken care of ASAP . they may have it floorplanned with a bank. in other words in order for the dealer to get the title he must pay off the bank. I don't know what is going on here but it needs your immediate attention.
