• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire Wear

Been missing from here for a while due to prolonged family illness and death, have read a lot of complaints on tire wear. My wife has the first 2010 RTs sold in Texas, it is now at 65000mi. we changed tires immediately to 175/65-14 and 215/60-15 General Altimax rt , 22 psi. front and 17psi rear , she rides 1 up ,2 up would prob. go to 21psi. rear, EXCELLENT in rain .The current rear tire has 25000mi. many miles left first had approx. 31000 changed before for a long trip. She has never wanted for shocks, and does ride aggressively , these tires have so much better sidewall stability I think a lot of people have changed shocks trying to fix a tire issue, have '0" issues in 50,000+ miles with tire size change , the rear actually made speedometer more accurate. This bike has been from S.E. Texas to every Ocean including the Arctic Ocean and would change nothing although the new gas mileage is tempting,

Thanks for the info about the tires. Just do not have her drive a 14 RT or you may find that in your garage before you can turn your head (they are that much better IMO)

Good to know..!!

thanks for the review. This will be great for those going to the auto tires and looking for information as to brands, size, and pressure. Hope your family is doing well and things are getting back to normal...:2thumbs:

liked the 215/60-15 rear because the choices are almost limitless and can be bought almost everywhere anytime and at very reasonable prices, prefer the altimax because tread has been very good in all weather, we rode through driving rains and a blizzard on our trip to Alaska and in S.E. Texas spring and summer you can get wet everyday somewhere.
