• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

tire pump

Been struggling wth how be really accurate with tire pressures and rear suspension air bag.
Then a remembered buying a Harley Davidson air shock pump. This device has small gauge
Reads to 70 lbs. The schrader valve is leak proof installing and removing. I was suprised
To see a pound and a half difference between front tires. The pump has a small bleed off
Valve that allows for precise adjustments. About six pump strokes produce a pound and a half.
Main benefit is very accurate pressure control, coupled
With small size 55 bucks well spent

Very nice..!!

have you checked out the set up JT's Work Shops set up. Works well.. He is a sponsor here...

+1 . . . using JT's Dual Fill, you are ensured that both front tires are exactly the same, as they equalize when it is connected.

I got one, works like a champ!! Now, if I can just figure out an easy way to check the PITA rear tire & put air in it I will be forever happy. Could they have made it any harder?:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:

I have an angle valve (90) that I use, and remove when done.

I just picked this up. It has a nice bleeder on it overinflate a bit and bleed down to balance the fronts. Very accurate and fits easily on the valve.

I have one of these for a few years now and love, love it. Works great for me.

Guage

This product looks great. My problem is finding a reliable gauge. The one that come with the bike sucks. I get a different reading every time. What do your recommend?

Thanks for the alternative solutions folks. For a couple years after retiring i operated a motorcycle shop
At home by converting my two stall garage. But old motorcycle injuries have won out. I closed the shop
To all except a couple of friends. The Harley shock pump was a forgotton tool until my brain happened
To be with me one day in the shop. Its small, light and very effective and the spyder has so much room
For neat stuff. Man! I am glad this site exists, until i found you all i felt like an orphaned alien at motorcycle
Rides. Biker friends think i have gone over to the dark side. Spyders are not the end of the journey, they
Are a new beginning even grander then everything before.

The gauge that comes with the bike can be fixed to work. I too had issues with mine with getting different readings and it not being accurate at all. Turns out some of these were not assembled correctly!

Check this post I made showing you how to check and fix yours. Mine now works perfectly.

Interesting read Bob. I worked in the wheel mounting room of a car assembly plant and still have the digital gauge they gave me so I use it as a base line for accuracy testing but hesitate to use it regularly just to ensure it does not get damaged. I have found the BRP gauge to be 1lb off but consistent. I am sure it varies between gauges it is not the most expensive on the market. I also find it difficult to use on the rear thus the gauge I bought above. It is dead on and the reviews from Amazon back it up. Not digital but good enough and the hose allows you to do the rear very easily. I really like the bleed valve it makes balancing the front easy.
