There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. tire pressure

About to go for a quick spin before it gets cold, and I have the following psi, 10 and 12 on fronts and 16 on rear. New 14's take 20 up front and 28 in the rear.

Had the bike (new) for a total of 4 days. Have put 9 miles on the thing and is garaged on carpeted floor.

Did the pressure really drop that low in 4 days? Not sure if the dealer even checked it when they loaded it up to sell to me.

Might have been checked at the dealer --- but some gauges read different than others ie not accurate at all. Go by the book and you can't go wrong. Test tire pressure using more than one gauge to make sure you are getting the proper reading.

:agree: Find a gauge that you trust; and NEVER let it out of your sight!
My gut tells me that the dealer missed checking the tire pressures...

:agree: BUT 16.5 to 17 lbs in front and 28 in rear be sure fronts are very equal 20 up front might be too BOUNCY

Maybe both..!!

It may have been missed by dealer and the cold will have a lot to do with it. With cold weather you must check tire pressure a bit more often. Like stated find a good guage and keep it handy at all times. Glad you caught it before your ryde cause you would have had some handling difference....:ohyea:

Follow the advice above. Check often and keep a good gauge handy. The only difficult tire to check is the rear. Some people experiment with + or - a pound or two--but that is your choice depending on how you like the feel of the ride.

A lot of folks have trouble with the rear tire valve placement...
I always thought that it was flexible enough to work just fine with the OEM gauge that BRP supplied...
Just get the nose of the gauge started on the stem, pick up a little, and take it to the house! :2thumbs: I always got a good, repeatable reading!

Do the 14's still have the ± 0.25 psig between the front tires? The only way I've been able to do that is by filling both tires at the same time.

Your "dual fill" sure makes it easy . . . hook up both tires, they equalize, and add as needed, just once . . . and they are both exactly the same! You might be getting a couple orders from Tucson (or already did) as a couple friends both bought 2014 RTs and I told them about it.

Looking for recommendations for a good tire gauge. Digital? Gauge?

Thanks, glad you liked it.

I haven't seen any pressure gauges that are accurate enough to fill the tires ± 0.25 psig as the manual says. The only solution I came up with is to fill both tires at the same time.

A laser alignment sort of question (and perhaps a better swaybar and stiffer front shocks).

Once done and the wheels are set up properly, can you run more air pressure in the front tires, say from 18-20 to 22-25? The greater air pressure would help mpg.

I wonder if the softer air pressures were is the compromise the factory adjusted because there were other issues. The softer pressures would absorb the wandering...

Tire pressure at or above 20 miles an hour makes my Spyder bounce and swerve too much in highway traffic and reduces my control, if you up the pressure, ride it somewhere comfortable to see how it changes the handling. As usual my advice comes with a money back guarantee
