• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire Pressure Sensors

2ndChildhood

New member
I just bought a new Garman GPS the 390 LM. It has a feature to monitor your tire pressure. So I decided to order one to see how it works because they're quite expensive. I didn't want to order three until I see how they work. Of course they don't tell you before you order it but there's a warning. The warning says "The tire pressure monitoring system is for use with metal tire valve stems only". My question is, is anyone using the tire pressure monitoring system and did not replace the valve stem and if so did you run into any problems?

A number of us have the FoBos and it also says only use with metal stems. I think none of us changed ours. I think that our stems are so short that it doesn't matter.

After 3K miles on my FOBO system no issues.
In my video I show why. As was said the stems are so short the sensors are not over flexing the stems.

Now I cannot speak for other sensors! The FOBO's are pretty light. I have seen other systems where the sensors are 3 times the weight.

This what I like about this website the wealth of knowledge that people have it's absolutely fantastic. The sensors for my GPS are very small and lightweight what you have looks like it might be a little heavier so if you're not having problems I should be just fine also thank you very much for your help.
