• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire not round

All tires have high spots. They are labeled on new tires...look for the yellow dot on the sidewall of new tires, that marks it. All wheels are designed to accommodate that high spot, on some older wheels there would be a similar mark inside of the rim at the flat spot, modern wheels are made so that the flat spot coincides with the valve stem. Find the high spot, have it moved to the valve stem position, that is as concentric as a wheel/tire assembly is going to get.
The yellow dot marks the lightest spot. The red (or sometimes blue) spot identifies the high point.

New Bridgestone Potenza's are fantastic!

P165/65R14

Very happen. Ran 40 miles today. No more wobble. Turns easier, smoother ride. Could not be happier.

When they balanced them.. one tire needed only 2 weights. The other tire needed ZERO weights.

The tread is NOT directional... so they can be rotated very easily.

Tires were $172.00 for the set. $26.50 free replacement in case of blowout, etc. Lifetime spin balancing $32.00.

Total bill was $240 with tax. Certainly more than OEM Kenda's..... but I think these are going to work out really well.

Let us know how they compare in the rain. The directional tread is mainly there to move water...at least on the Kenda. On a light vehicle like the Spyder I would be careful of hydroplaning until you learn how it will act with the non-directional tires.

First of all, thanks for all the input from all of y'all.

I went and ordered the Potenza's yesterday be cause they were more in my budget.
I take the wheels over today to get them mounted. I asked to get the OEMs back to save on the disposal fee. Also, the one good tire has good tread on it.

I'll have them clean out the Ride-On out of the inside so there shouldn't be any issues with balancing?

I'll let y'all know how it goes after I install them back on the RT.

Hope it works out as well as mine did.
Discount had them at 20psi. Left it there and it feels pretty good.

Wow! At 3:19 I found out what it really feels like to ride a Spyder! The Elvis Syndrome is all gone.....no more shakin'. I have been living with that now for over 16 months. Now I really, really love my Spyder.
