• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tire change help please. Does this have to come off?

Does that strange retainer holding the beating in have to come off for a tire change? I got the hub off and I think that is as far as I have to go before taking it to a tire shop for mount and balance.

I brought mine to a independent motorcycle repair shop. They told me not to take it apart next time. They want the complete rotating assembly to get a better balance and have the tooling to mount that way on their balancing machine.

So I took it in to a car tire place to have it mounted and balanced. They initially said no problem but then the called me back and said they cannot balance it because their spindle was too big. So I now have a mounted but not balanced tire. And it appears the nearest "motorcycle" shop is 30 minutes away (which is surprising for a city of 100,000 people).

So is balancing your own with a broom handle between two chairs worth a darn or should I suck it up and spend the hour in the car to get it balanced at a motorcycle shop? Should most car shops be able to handle a Spyder tire on their balancer?
