• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

tinting windsheild

I rode to Sacramento Fri. and picked up a Cali windshield. It works great i love it . Just went to a shop and was going to get it tinted but they said that it is not a good idea to tint these sheilds as they emit a gas and it will affect the film , won't last very long and when you remove it ,it ruins the lexon , Cali doesn't offer tints in it's sheilds , which is ok i just thought it would it look good tinted :D Just thought i would give a heads up , another shop yesterday told me they had a tint that would look great , maybe they don't know about the lexon gases or just want your $$$ :dontknow:ride safe and have fun :2thumbs:

I was thinking about riding down to get one myself, I am 5ft 10 and thought the medium one would be fine for me, what size shield did you get and did they have them in stock for collection, I was interested in seeing one and have been putting it off for a while, but I thought I may see if anyone has one fitted at the upcomming 'Walt Gray' ride to look at.

I looked at this also (adding film) until I read the instructions on the film that stated 'Do not apply to any form of plastic' and that kinda put me of from doing it as well.....

tnt film will react the same as the film the pros use on cars and the shop o talked to.It's not the type of film it is what shield is made of that causes the problem. Paint like Lamont does is the safest way so as not to damage the shield.

Your new windshield will be tested by your return for sure..

$125 otd he gave me $60 off for my touring shield which i didn't like otherwise it would have been $185 i bought the large. I-5 will be a real good test for it , but it worked good coming home from Sac.
