• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time to take out the sleds!

 I just spit a cup of coffee out my nose!
What were you saying?? :roflblack:

Actually my brother had a Boa just like yours; I had a Super Olympique (Ski Doo)
The differences in the belly pan shapes affected those sleds' capabilities. The relatively flat pan on the Boa meant that it couldn't break trail in fresh snow nearly as well as the tapered Ski Doo pan allowed for me. Thus; whenever we ended up someplace that we shouldn't have been, the fault was always mine!

Wow! We got our first real snowstorm of the season, SO! It was time for me and my son to get the snow toys out of the trailer and play around the yard. I have to say though, I don't have enough yard to use all that horsepower that the 1200 four stroke puts out. Even my son's 600 TNT E-Tec could use more space to really move out. We plan on taking a trail ride tomorrow on our local trails which are being groomed since the snowfall. We should be able to let loose and open up a little more on those trails! FUN..FUN..FUN!!!!!

So that is what ridable snow looks like. I am getting very discouraged with our snowfall the past few years.

I used to be able to ride a lot right out my back door, not anymore. The good news was I only had to drive north about 150 miles to find good snow, but not the last couple of years.

I took a gamble and did a spring order on a 2013 sled thinking we couldn't have two years in a row as bad as last year. Well it's beginning to look like the joke is on me. Millage on my new sled so far is .2 miles. Thats's right, two tenths of a mile. At least I paid cash so I don't have that monthly reminder of what a fool I am.

On the bright side, UP trip coming up soon, should put on about 1,000 miles that week. I would have liked to get through the break in before I leave but that ain't going to happen. I'll take two sleds just in case something goes amiss with the new one.

BRAVO!! :clap::clap: :firstplace::clap:
Watching you ride with one knee on the seat brought back so many memories ... of tearing seats with boot buckles! :yikes:

That was the required style... Unless you had the knees of an Olympian!
How quick you could swap from one knee to the other (Without parking on a handlebar end!), was the measure of expertise!

Bring those vintage sleds to Fulton NY Feb. 8,9, & 10th for the Great Eastern Whiteout!! Races on the Lake, then an enduro ride and the Bun-Bun ride for vintage sleds only. We would love to see all of you vintage guys/gals there.

Nan has/had a problem riding our 2010 Grand Touring sled. Got sick from the oil and exhaust. Had the 600 2-stroke. At 1:00 this afternoon off I go to wheel-A-Way in Fulton to pick up a 2013 RS Venture. 973cc 4-stroke with exhaust exiting out the back of the sled from under the seat. I sure hope this works for her, it didn't for my wallet.

I'd love to take the Boa (and maybe the '71 Lynx) to the vintage ride but I have a transport problem, I don't have any way to get there with the sleds.
I am working on it, however.

Would be great if your transport problem works out for you and you could make it. The 9th is vendor day. All the vendors will be setup with both vintage and new sleds and gear.

If you have a newer sled bring it, go the the show onn Sat. and ride our trails on Fri.Sun. Need a NY trail permit.

I would think that the drivetrain would be a bit complicated...
But it's got floatation!
It might be a bit too wide for the average trail.
