I am totally mortified this morning as I have caused unnecessary pain and suffering to another member. I am really upset.
I am a senior member here and I feel that I've let the rest of you down badly.
Ben Burped has recently suffered a bereavement ( I didn't know about it ) and I strongly disagreed with a post that he made in the
F3 forum, maybe I read too much between the lines, and I gave him both 'literary' barrels.
It transpires that he is now extremely upset at my response and despite the fact that I have made an unreserved apology and deleted the offending post,
I'm feeling like shyte.
This place is, for me, a place to exchange information, views and opinions. I visit every day and attempt to read all posts.
So I now feel unable to respond to any posts except PMs and generally keep my trap shut in case I put my foot in it.
I don't do Political Correctness. I don't do 'Nice' just for the sake of it. I'm honest as I can be without resorting to insults.
I'll still be about but in a much more silent capacity, I think.
Sincere apologies to anyone who feels that I'm overly outspoken or spiteful.....

The fact that you would create a thread to make the apology underscores just how much you care about others.

I have no idea if you overstepped, or not, but you seem more than capable of watching your words instead of going into hiding. That would be a loss for everybody.

Many of us have opened mouth and inserted foot. Been there, done that, and have a t-shirt or two.

Your willingness to bring it to the public and post an apology speaks volumes of your intent. I sincerely hope the offended party sees and accepts.

I don't miss much, but I missed the exchange that you mentioned, so do not have the back up information to say much further.

Hang in there. I for one, surely do not want to see you go away or refrain from your posting style. :thumbup:

EDIT: I found the exchanges of which you speak. They can be found in Ben Burped prior posts. I am seeing misunderstanding that hopefully time will heal. Ben also posted an apology.

Give it a couple days or so.
