• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

"Webby2" has gone to a new home with another Spyder rider, but I still have her personalized plate and the memories.

Time to move on...

Happy New Year to all!

Mike

Back again, after a couple of years trying to convince myself that returning to 2 wheels was a good idea at my age.
The experiment has, regrettably, been a failure despite the best efforts of a Honda CB500X and a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor.

So now I'm just waiting for my Ryker 900 Sport to be uncrated at the dealership. Will be good to get back on 3 wheels!
And thank you safecracker, ARtraveler and BLUEKNIGHT for your comments.

:welcome: and :congrats: on the new Ryker 900 Sport.

You will get a big kick out of the Ryker. I have a 2020 Ryker Rally. I would not be able to take a long road trip on it, but 50-60 mile rides have been a blast. Mainly on secondary roads.

The Ryker is a Blast! And you can go as far as you like on one. So far, I've been 300 miles, one way, on mine. And I'd be happy to go further. You can't carry much as they come stock. But that detail can be mitigated as well.

Enjoy!

Wow what a way to resurrect an old thread. Welcome back to the forum and to Rykers. Looking forward to reading about your adventures on the new Ryker.

:congrats: Hopefully your discission to go back to two wheels didn't end up with a roll in the rhubarb! :coffee:

Couple of close calls! Those, and the added requirement to put your feet on the floor when needed, were some of the deciders. A good friend said jokingly that I was trying to recapture my misspent youth. My reply was that my youth was so far in the past that I couldn't remember if it was misspent or not!

Anyway, the RE is on consignment, and the Ryker will be ready shortly. Now, if the weather here will just co-operate...
