• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time has come..

As much as I hate it, the time has come to retire from motorcycling. After 55 years and well over 1,150,000 miles. I've owned 25 motorcycles, the last two a BMW trike K1200LT, and my beloved 2014 RT-S Spyder. My Spyder... never ridden a better three wheeled Motorcycle. I wanted so to get 200K on it, but was only able to amass 188,503. Only 30K the last three years, 35K the last three years.
I want to thank all the generous people who have helped me the last 7 years.
Lamonster. Thanks for the website.
Blue Knight Mike I only knew a few days in Spyderfest 2018, great guy, knows what he's talking about.
Buckeye Bleau. Joe got me into this madness, a truly great man.
My Muscular Dystrophy makes it unable to walk without assistance, my new buyer, brother Ken 6 years my senior runs marathons. He's running the Chicago marathon in October. I think you all will be seeing his progress in continuing my goal of 200,000 miles.
It's been a great ride.

And sometimes we think we have problems. Adios Buckeye and I hope things get better for you.

Farewell

Chuck , so sorry to here this ..... I consider it an honor to have met and spent some riding time with you ... I have been following your riding history since we met and I consider both You and Murphy to be LEGENDS in the Spyder community... and thanks for the compliment :thumbup::thumbup: .... sending many, many ... Mike

Chuck, happy trails in your next chapter. At 88 I know my time is not far out and I fight it every time I ride and find the fun zone.

Bucheye, I commend you for recognizing it's time to let all those miles become part of the history and memories of your life and not deny nor push it to the point you would have suffered a disaster. Good luck and God Bless.

So long Chuck. Good luck in your next journey. Having gotten 188,000 miles out of your Spyder you are one of my heros.

Thank you all, but I'm not going to fade away. My beloved 2014 RT-S is still running like new. It was sold to my 72 year old brother Ken Frick, some may know him from articles in Cycle, the BMW magazines. He's taking my Spyder to Great Falls Montana in June for the BMW International Rally.
At 67 I'm unable to walk any more without assistance, my brother Ken, runs marathons! He's running the Chicago marathon in October, running for Muscular Dystrophy, my disease.
I'll check in from to time, I have lots of friends I've met here, Joe, Mike, Blue Knight)
