• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After 10 yrs with Spyder Lovers it's time to call it a day. My health continue to fail. After much discussion with my family it's time fr me to move into an Assisted Living facility. This a very hard posting for me. I've been with the Spyder since the beginning. I want to personally thank Lamont for his fantastic job on Spyder lovers. Seal Foorboards would never gotten off the ground without you.

I have a small stock left: 8 sets of RT SE5 (or 6) and 5 sets of RS SE5.. That will be the end of it. It's Seall Floorboards has been one go the great riders of my life. I will also be selling my 2014 RT SE5/6. If you ever wanted a set of Seal Floorboards or my Rear Tote Rack (3 left), now is the time to act.

It's been a thrill working with the thousands who have purchased a set. Thank you, one and all. God Bless you all.

Ride in comfort,
John Anderson

John, I am so sorry to read this. Thank you for all you have provided to the Spyder community over the years. We will keep you in our prayers

Sorry to hear your closing up shop John. I hope your able to stay in touch here, it would be good to hear form you and how things are going for you in your new place. I have a couple of friends that live in assisted living and they are doing good there. I hope you enjoy getting to know the other people there.

Thank you for this post John and God Bless. I never had the pleasure of meeting you but your contribution to the community is immeasurable. Assisted living is just another chapter in life and I know a lot of folks who really find it a lot more fun than they think although the decision is not easy to make the change. You’ll be fine and we expect you to keep posting.

All the best,

Left Coast

+1 and I agree with all the above
As it is written in the oldest printed book in the world, To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

John, have you considered selling your designs to someone else? I'm sure someone would be willing to market them. That way your legacy and innovations will continue to grace the Spyder world for years to come. I don't see them on your site anymore but two of your products really caught my eye, the golf bag tote rack and the walker carrier. I think both of those would be welcomed by some riders.

Sad News....

Have not been here as long as you but you have been ever present at events and posting. I did get the pleasure to help at one of the Red Rock events installing your floorboard and it was a great product. We will miss your presence but hope you will keep in touch with us through this site... thanks for all you work and dedication to the spyder world....:2thumbs:

John I'll never forget meeting you in Flagstaff on your way to Cuba, Mo. You and Big John installed the Seal Floorboards on my Spyder in the motel parking lot. What a great ryde Mary and I had with you on our way to Spyderfest. We wish you all the best.
I have several friends in Assisted Living Faciliries and they love the experience. Hope you keep in touch via the website. Be well my friend!

Assisted living, John that's sad, but we all get there, and 86 I think often that my time may be getting short. May you have many good years remaining and find friends at your new living quarters.

I was thinking the same thing. You could make some money and your legacy will carry on :agree:
