• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just dropped the ST-S off at the dealer. Time for the 600 mile service. It should be ready by Wed. It's only been two hours and I feel like I'm going through withdrawal.:yikes:

6,000 Mile Service

I drove my Roadster into Pro Caliber Longview Washington :2thumbs: unannounced last December 2012. I stood around while they did the service, about 2 hours later and $300.00. I couldn't have picked a better day, cold wet and raining outside. The service personal Father and Son Team dropped what they were doing and got right on my Roadster. What they were doing before was not as important as a real live customer!! Business at that time was almost "0"... Who wants to test ride bikes or have their bike serviced in that kind of weather?? OH Ya and cause it was too nasty outside and so little business they offered me a $50.00 discount for coming in for a winter service and check up!
Ya all know I will drive the 100 plus miles one way again and again for Pro Caliber :firstplace: to care for my BABY

It is always good to hear about dealers that take appointments for service and actually keep them. I also do not like "overnight" or "multiple days" to do routine service on the :spyder2:. If major issues crop up--due to the service--then I don't have any problem with the extra time involved. I do want them to get it right the first time.

Too many dealers have the "it will take three weeks before we can get you in" or "it will take 3-5 days to get it done" menatlity--just because they can. That has been one of my constant gripes since day one.

I wouldn't leave it for a couple days.

I'd tell them I want a day in the future that they can have it back to me within a couple hours....or I'd do what I can myself.

My dealer told me it would be about $210 for the 600 mile service.

I had a 9 AM appointment for the 600 mile service with my selling dealer, Alcoa Good Times in Louisville, TN last Friday. They got right on it & I was back on the road at around 11:30 AM.

Being gainfully employed doesn't leave a lot of time to be sitting around my dealer while they do the service. I was able to drop it off Monday before work and told them that I could pick it up on Wednesday night, the night they are open late, on my way home from work. I'm sorry that I'm not yet retired or a lottery winner, maybe then I'll have all the free time in the world to wait while service is done.
