• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thumbs down on Factory Luggage Rack - Any suggestions?

My apologies for changing the topic, but the wife and I are planning on doing some long rides next year and the question came up do you folks UN-strap your stuff and take it with you into the restaurant to eat or just take your chances that somebody does not relieve you of the dry bags attached to your spyders.:chat:

Never done the unstrapping thing for restaurants. I do try to keep the bike parked where it is visible to me. Don't like people taking "test sits."

Overnight stays in the hotel--don't leave anything you don't want stolen. I mistakenly left the key in the ignition overnight in Fairbanks AK. After an hour of looking for the &^%$ key in the morning, went out to the parking lot--the :ani29:'s were there.

Replace the antenna

I have a friend that replaced their antenna with one of these & said reception is great. Around $10 on ebay (search for stubby antenna)

This is the bag I use. Have the same rack.Screenshot_20180718-102700_Gallery.jpg
The bag slides over back rest. Easy on and off. Can fit on rack or seat.

I picked up the BRP factory rack and it seemed a little light. But I have found it to be a nice, easy access place to store my travel cover and rain suit. Often I have a hard time finding my rain suit, so now I know exactly where to look and have quick access to it. When not traveling for a few days, I easily take it off.
