• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Three-fingered wave

I just noticed a three-fingered wave in the Spyder commercial at 20 seconds in:

I didn't get the memo. Is anyone else doing this or is it a BRP marketing ploy?

ETA: I've only seen three other random Spyders, so it's not like I'd get a lot of chances to do this.

spyder wave

A buddy I ride with and myself thought about a 3 finger wave last summer, but we see so few spyders we really don't do it.

Hey, you're right! I didn't even notice it when I watched it.
I like it :thumbup::thumbup:. . . . ya think anybody except another Spyder ryder will notice???

I missed the three finger wave the couple of times I looked at the commercial. It's neat--but I don't run into a lot of :spyder2: on the road here. Except: last Saturday I was out and about on one of my favorite twisty roads--and I ran into two :spyder2: 's from my area. I met the couple last summer at the :spyder2: dealer when he was picking up his new RTS. We rode in a caravan for about 30 miles together. It was a great day for riding. Thanks for pointing out the "new wave".

I caught it but like my Spyder sign better.:D For mine you kind of do a 'Hook em horns, by putting your ring and middle finget towards your palm, and extend you pinky and pointing finger AND your thumb, and point your fingers down. The pinky and pointing finger represent the front tires, the thumb , the back tire. Here is a crappy pic w/ me doing it w/ two other posers and their whips.

...I'm such a geek...:p

I dunno--- I've seen people 'wave' like that without any intended meaning---- 2 fingers and a thumb.....

As long as it's not a 1-finger wave I'm happy! :roflblack:

Wouldn't that just be a upside down, I love you sign ??? I just don't want people to get the wrong impression. :yikes:

I always acknowledge other bikers with the usual "Harley-type" wave, since the most bikes I've seen are either HDs or Sport bikes. But lately I'm seeing Spyders on my short rides locally, and I impulsively always give a "thumbs-up" greeting. :2thumbs: I think Spyder owners know exactly what I mean. Two years ago when I purchased my RS SE-5, I was about the only one riding a Spyder. But lately I'm seeing more. Just last Sunday I saw four Spyders, and actually Art pulled into Pucketts in Leiper's Fork and we talked for quite awhile. He has the beatiful White RS SE-5.

:agree: You have to be careful. Anyone who knows sign language would understand. In fact, the three finger used in the ad could be mistaken as an H. I just use the standard greeting.

Sometimes i don't wave at all i just acknowledge other riders by nodding my head, it makes you seem more aloof [cool] that way :roflblack:

How about these waves !!! Does anyone remember the TV show Mork and Mindy ??? And everyone knows the other guy.
