• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Three days...

 I can't believe that I did this... :opps:
I now have a FaceBook account, so that I can follow what this announcement is going to be! :yikes:

Hi Patti!
If you're wondering why I said that it looks crazy in FaceBook; it just reminds me of a drunken barfight...

...For about 3.8 Billion people! :yikes:

I knew that....

But I'll wait here...There may be that many people Bob saw on facebook there in Sturgis...:roflblack::roflblack: ...

Can't stop thinking about Friday. Trying to keep my mind occupied with other things, work helps. Roll on Friday, bring it on.

Facebook contains way TMI for me. I really don't care about what someone had for supper last night. Heck, I don't even know that person.

The riding club we are members of has a Facebook page. I do not even go there any more. Per paragraph #1 above. Club announcements got buried in all the other stuff.

Does anyone know how to officially "cancel" a Facebook membership/page?

Don't get on FB. nothing says you have to. As long as you stay off it is cancelled.

Cancel it... no! :yikes:
The best that you can do, is "Suspend" your membership.
That way; they stop sending you 147 emails each and every day about all the people that you don't want to know about... :banghead:

Robert Denman, not you. I know, I succumbed a few weeks ago. It seemed that between the riding, veterans organizations and committees that I belong to, they quit sending e mails. I would miss a meeting or ride because I wasn't on Face Book. Same with family. I told Kris last night that I wasn't really impressed. I don't post what I'm eating or where I'm at. Ain't no ones business but mine. I will say that I have connected with some groups that I like.

So Bob, I'll send you a friend request. Then I can tell you when I'm going to the bathroom, what I'm eating etc. :joke:

:agree: Heck, I don't even care what I had for supper last night - let alone someone else.

...but I occasionally log in, because it's the easiest way I know of to keep track of what my three kids and their families are doing, since they all three live in different parts of the country than I do. :sour:

As for the new model announcement, I don't much care about that either this year. Since I just got my 2013 RTL out of the shop with the recall done, I'm lovin' it. No way I'll trade up for a while.

Facebook can be a really great experience, for communicating with far away friends and keeping updated on things. Or it can be a terrible experience for obvious reasons.:lecturef_smilie: Depends on what type of person you are! Just remember anything posted on FB is public, no matter what . :yikes: Oh and just to keep on topic, can't wait to see what's new for 2016!
