I work with a guy who smokes like a chimney and spends his day trying to find a nursing home for his dad who has a whole in his throat from smoking and drinking all his life and he doesn't see that he is repeating the behavior so I am going with stupidity

I know a guy i hate, 4 packs a day & every butt thrown on the ground even if there is an ashtray or garbage can next to him.
he had no problem doing so next to his baby son
