• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Those with NY plates, mind your P's & Q's

Not sure where I came across this, (on a trucking industry website I think)but a few days ago I read an article claiming (could be a rumor) the Tennessee governor asked his state troopers to be extra observant of those drivers from New York, especially those from the city. To act on a zero tolerance basis toward them. In responce to the young TN nurse arrested when she tried to check her handgun in New York City (she has a valid TN CCW). New York City does not recognize any carry permit other than their own. Now when you make the decision to carry, you need to be certain of the laws in the area your in. There was no excuse on her part, and now she is facing a 3 year ride on New Yorks dime. So New Yorkers, watch those speeds. :banghead:

Update, here is a link to one of the articles on this:

And all drivers from everywhere else. When you come to Vegas, leave your bad driving habits at home, take your eyes off the casinos, and watch the friggen road!

I'm still trying to understand a couple of your state abreviations (no, cy). I never heard of those states before. We can't be that much of "complete idiots" then. :roflblack: :roflblack:

Don't worry we think the same about your Floridians retired folks coming up here in the summer and slowing up the flow of traffic with their sunday driving.

This is probably just an urban legend popping up again... :gaah:
Anyway; In New York you'd only get a year for something like this.. as long as you weren't pointing at the LEO who found it!

it was reported in one of NYC newspapers regarding the response from Tennessee. Seems law abiding citizens can't win no matter what they do.

My entire family moved to Florida 4 years ago. They all agree, without a doubt, the drivers in that state are among the worst in the country.

You guys should really come down to Texas then. Raising our speed limit again and here in Houston probably half of the population is from third world countries where they never drove anything faster than a burrow. But at least we can ride pretty much year round. Guess you take the good with the bad.

Maybe raising the speed limits in Texas is their way of population control :dontknow:

:agree: You've got to know and follow the rules... Gun ownership may be a right; but it carries with it a tremendous responsibility!

Yes, gun ownership is a right but carrying a concealed handgun in NY State is a priviledge granted by the state....and they will whisk it away without much provocation! As far as I know, they don't re-issue either!

Attitude

Not really. Once we found out you weren't here to take our women and our land we just quit :roflblack: :roflblack:

Yeah, I guess it worked out well for everybody.

In all honesty, there is a little truth in the 'northerner attitude'.....everybody up this way is in such a damn hurry!! I drive about 8 or 9 mph over the limit and there's always somebody tailgating me trying to push me out of the way. 'Course, most of 'em drive them little jellybean cars....no match for my GMC!

But I can easily see how that could irritate someone....hell, it rritates me and I live here! :lecturef_smilie:

Yeah but all the Florida drivers aere just the retired Yankees and when they go back home (up nurth) they just want to torture the young whipper snappers!! :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

:lecturef_smilie: If you screw up; they WILL pull it in a flash! :gaah: Just don't do anything that earns you unwated attention and you'll be just fine...

(And it IS a right... subject to interpretations and limitations...)
