• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Those of you that Concealed Carry on your Spyder, what type of holster do you use?

On the Spyder, I will carry in a pocket on jacket or pants.(still in a holster) Always loaded. IWB/SOB for most other carry. I look at states with reciprocity or constitutional carry. If a state has neither, I try to avoid those states at all costs.

I agree with this but, I do carry no matter what state that I'm in.

I'll deal with the fallout if I'm ever caught doing so.

Interesting thread. While riding locally, I'm probably the only one that keeps mine in the glove box up front while riding. One in the chamber, safety on. If I'm on a longer ride, I wear a Kangaroo Carry holster with my buddy under my left arm (right handed).

Can you update your signature line with the year/model of your Spyder?

Not all glove boxes are the same. My 2019 RTL center glovebox between the legs could hold one, but then all the other stuff (sunglasses, garage door opener, etc.) wouldn't fit. The newer models have a different or second glovebox I believe, up above the handlebars.

Having mine on my side is the best way to be able to defend myself in case I unfortunately have to use it. It doesn't do me any good if I put it where I can't easily and quickly draw. I hope to God I never have to, but I am prepared if I do. And I have a full magazine with 1 in the chamber.

I take it that you do not attend church sevices.

I go to church services with my 45 acp 1911 cocked and locked in Desantis leather thumb break holster out side waist band right side.

At church they don't know I even have it on, it could save my life or anyone of theirs.

I'd rather have my gun and not need it than to need it and not have it.
It's the same reason I have a spare tire in all my cars and trucks.

Without trying to turn this into a gun debate....

The number of incidents with licensed responsible carrying people is dwarfed by the number of bad guy incidents. My instructor told us something like "honestly, that carrying was more for peace of mind than anything else, as there was a less than 0.01% chance of us ever actually needing our weapon. But for that 1 in 10,000 chance we do, it could save a life."

Another anecdote... I've had police tell me they actually feel more secure when pulling over a LTC (license to carry) driver, as they are always the responsible and compliant ones.

I'll bite.

Why did you have ALL of your weapons in one boat and how many was 'all'?

I wondered this too. In my mind, I assume the boat was in between Miami and Cuba, and he was wearing a pink sport coat and white pants. IYKYK :doorag: ;)

I live in an open carry state but I carry concealed and have state's license to carry concealed.
I used to carry OWB on my right hip, under my tee shirt, vest, jacket. This year I'm trying a belly band, Comfortec. Feels good to change things up now and then.
