• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saw numerous wreaks yesterday. Almost got caught in one myself because of some idiot. One wreak involved a state snow plow. Didn't get close enough to see what happened but the truck was sideways in the road and the plow was sitting about 20 feet away on the side of the road.

Morbidly cute...

Always amazes me how some peolple react to adverse weather. Rather than give themselves more room, they tailgate, rather than give themselves more time, they leave later, rather than stay home or use public transportation, they leap out there as if they were pros and then blame everyone and everything on someone else. Ahhh but I did love the goat...:roflblack:

It is a warm 20 Degrees F. with a 23mph. wind and snowing. one of the better days this month. Going down to -13 F. tonight.

We only got about 1 1/2" yesterday, but you wouldn't believe some of the crap people were doing. I had to take the wife to work, and it was plenty slick in downtown Raleigh around 9am. Some people were flying like it was sunny and 80 degrees. One lady passed me twice. The first time she was texting, and the second, she was putting on make up:banghead:. I just hung out at the wifes work and drank coffee. After leaving around 2pm, the roads were much better. Now they are saying that we could get anything from a trace, to 6+ inches tonight. Guess the weather men are trying to cover all the bases.

Accident on the The Big Mac. Below is a link and also a couple of my pictures as we crossed the bridge. At the bottom are a couple of pictures of the bridge in warmer weather on the Spyder.

I have been over this bridge a number of times in the winter and it is not fun. A car is one thing, imagine driving a 22' truck pulling a 23' enclosed trailer with a 50mph side wind.:yikes:

Snow, Ice, and Stupid seem to go together in the same sentence. People forget they can go, but they can't stop on ice. It can be worse than a high intensity carnival ride.

Great pictures of the bridge. Was on it in Oct of 1997.

Yeah. We got about three inches. As far as tonight and tomorrow, I don't think anyone knows what's going to happen. Didn't get above 25 yesterday, 40 now. So the temps will have to drop quick to get any frozen precip.
