this only happens with me on bmw's. many car dealers sell wheel & tire insurance & bmw dealers carry it through
a company called safegard, well once again a customer of mine is getting screwed over by them. according to them
it doesn't matter if the rim is safe to drive on just as long as it holds air, it can be cracked, bent, twisted but if it holds
air they don't pay.
had a customer come in monday with his bmw 6 both front tires had bubbles & both front rims were bent & leaking. ok
so we do the paperwork call up safegard to make the claim and all that stuff. they give us claim number we ordered his
new tires & 1 wheel, we had 1 in stock. i told them the wheels were leaking when he came in & since their adjuster would
not be here for a few days we had to pound on his wheel with a dead blow hammer to stop the leak.
now that we did that & the inspector is here & did not see the leak they say the wheel is not covered because it doesn't
leak. ok mr. safegard WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I DO let my customer drive away with 2 front tires leaking? they don't
answer my questions, not sure why. so now i have to have the inspector come here again, i have to pay him this time
and with the wheels off the car we can water test them like they should be done every time.
i really hate insurance fraud and i don't think i will take anymore work from this company ever again after this claim is
settled.
