There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Another argument in favor of going vegetarian. It amazes me what they are doing to meat and the prices they are charging these days. I try to buy "good stuff" but that is no guarantee it is.
I worked in a food plant for a couple years and saw some interesting things go on. I was a R & D person and got to see all areas of the plant and its operations.
Nothing new here... I've worked in the Supermarket business for years and I can tell you the horror stories behind the meat department that would make you a vegetarian quicker. However, I am still a meatertarian... as long as it is cooked properly, I can eat pretty much any kind of meat.
I like to buy known cuts of meat...usually get the whole hunk and the cut my own. Avoid all the precut for you bits and pieces. Then wrap them in bacon..!!
Who knew? When I was a kid we'd buy 1.5 cows from my farmer uncle each year and get it cut like we wanted. Now we have to rely on the grocery store, and I try not to think too much about it. There is a rancher here that butchers and sells from their own store, though. We'll probably try that.

:roflblack: OK Bob!! We'd buy 1 beef, have it processed and keep it in the freezer. About the time it ran low my aunt would call and say they had another one ready and we'd take half (1 side) and someone else would buy the other half!! That would see us through until the next season when we'd buy another whole beef.
