• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. THIS IS DISGUSTING!!

This is awful! :( However, from an experience many years ago attending a relative's funeral, the very small local VFW used the musical talents of a local high school band member to play TAPS. It was just as moving and the kid was glad to do community service.

So, this cannot be done elsewhere?

P.S., Well Bob, what's on your mind?

That looks like your best rant yet Bob D. :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

:agree: to it. :thumbup::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Just got the news about Schumer statements. I hope this will let the Buglers continue to honor NY. military Services and everywhere across our country.

Glad to see so many spyderlovers feel the same way!!

I was pretty sure that I'd get in trouble for it; perhaps I should apologize to anybody who's sensitive eyes got traumatized by that outburst... :opps:

After working construction for 40 years, I m pretty much "desensitized". ;)

my partner:"GET ME A *%^& SKIL SAW, YOU )#$% IDIOT! CANT YOU SEE I )(*^%# NEED TO CUT THIS BOARD? ARE YOU (*&% BLIND??"

me: "BWAAAAAAA-HAHAHAHAHAHHHAAAAAAAAAA..get it yourself, feces head! I m taking a break!"

I am pretty sure that someone sitting on their butts collecting unemployment or welfare can play Taps and show respect for our fallen heroes. Time to hold auditions and they can earn their free money like that.

Is this what you want?

I don't know about you but I don't want some dead head playing taps at my funeral. I'd rather be buried in my back yard. As far as I'm concerned if you don't care don't bother, I'll never know at the bottom of the hole.

I did that

When I was in high school in SE Nebraska, I was one of those high school trumpet players who played Taps at military funerals. It was a small town of less than 1500, and after the first time or two, I purchased a bugle from my part-time grocery store wages since I felt it was truer to the original. The local American Legion coordinated everything, getting in touch prior and asking me to dress accordingly, (slacks/ls shirt) picked me up from the school, and returned me after. They also supplied the honor guard and salute. I did this my junior and senior years, and have seldom felt more grateful that I could share that talent showing respect for one of the nation's finest.

Our Son somehow has a decent amount of skill with trumpet; The Missus and I have never been prouder, than when he was asked to play Taps at several funerals in our Town for Military Personnel..
(He also had a couple of gigs at the Town Fair playing the Star-Spangled Banner... :thumbup:)

I am offened

Well since I live in the middle of this :cus: mess; all I can say is that it's a :cus: shame that the :cus: in Albany keep filling their :cus: pockets with our :cus: money! :gaah: important :cus: like this gets kicked to the :cus: curb so that the lazy :cus: can still get their :cus: welfare checks!! :gaah:
:gaah::gaah:
Wow! :shocked: That felt good!

You know the :cus: was okay, :cus: was okay too, this :cus: I understood, the :cus: I question, :cus: I think was border line too far, you could have left out :cus:, :cus: was not called for, :cus: was funny, but :cus: really offended me.

Other States have the same thing, especially for Vets who did not retire from service. Several Militrary Honor Guards have used a electronic bugle, even at a KIA Funeral.
SW Ohio has a "hard Core" member ( rides many a Mission a month ) who is a member of Bugles across America. He has rendered Taps many times.
