I am a knew RT owner. I had a backrest installed by the dealer. He said it looked funny but that is the way it fits (wrinkling the leather). After searching this site I found out that there are two different part numbers for the backrest. When back to the dealer and low and behold they had the other part number and when installed it fit perfectly. I suggested the techs should visit this site regularly to understand what they are selling. The dealer was very apologetic. Mine was the first rt they sold.

It is good to see that the dealer stepped up, admitted a mistake, and then fixed the problem. If all dealers were like this, there would be many fewer issues with the :spyder2:
