• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This has nothing to do with spyders

Hi Everyone
Well Julie and I fulfilled one of the things on our bucket list,
In early January I asked folks here if they had ever been to Tahiti.....
Well I got several answers mostly good so we did it and left from
San Francisco and headed to Tahiti. It was a 10 hour flight, got on the
airplane here it was 40 out side when we got off the plane in Tahiti it
was 85 and beautiful.... I can tell you whatever you have heard about
BoraBora good or bad, here is the strait info, unless you stay in a resort
I would forget BoraBora and go to the island of Moorea
Moorea is by far the garden spot of Tahiti.... it is nothing short of fantastic
and well worth your time, the people are friendly and welcoming, even with my broke foot. The lodging is first class and
the food.... the food is the very best. They all speak French but... they can also speak
English and other languages.
SO put Tahiti on your bucket list it is well worth it....
Dave

Spent almost 4 years in the Pacific many years ago. Travel expenses provided by the USAF............ All I had to do was deliver cargo to what ever destination in was scheduled to go to. PACAF - C-130-E model.

PACAF's area of responsibility extends from the west coast of the United States to the east coast of Africa and from the Arctic to the Antarctic, more than 100 million square miles. The area is home to nearly two billion people who live in 44 countries.

My spouse and I honeymooned on Moorea over 40 years ago, best ever vacation so far. I can only imagine how it has changed. The air field was just that, a field. Landing tower was a wooden structure, no roof, maybe 12 feet tall. Topless local guy waved the plane in, came down and took our luggage. We stayed in one of those huts right on the water.

Not much has changed to this day, the airport is very small but it is modern... the roads are all paved and in great shape
I was told by the locals, they get the same amount of tourest's in a year that Hawaii in 1 month...the people there are
amazingly helpful and friendly they can not do enough for you, they will not allow you to carry your luggage they do it for you
if you rent a car they pump your gas, it is just the best vacation we have ever been on....
You can bet we will go back...
