• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This has happened three times

This afternoon, I was filling up my Spyder, when a local person I know somewhat said to me that he might "trade his Sportster for that". I just looked at him and said "bring lots of money!"

PS, got 32.2 MPG!!!

LOL! When I get one like that, I say "There's a plan!" And let it go. Let them find out.

When I get that question, I answer "between $16K and 32K, depending on the model and options." (As I recall, a base model RS starts around $16K). Quoting a range lessens the sticker shock.

Honestly, I don't believe the non-motorcycling public realizes how much a high-end bike costs nowadays. I routinely see new tarted-up Harleys at the Harley boutique with stickers over $30K, and they sell. The new factory Harley trike starts at $36K. BMW has a very high end model that goes for $30K (K1600 GTL Exclusive). New Gold Wings go for between $24 and $30K.

They just have no idea. And I see no need to mess with their minds.

Have you priced a new Ford F-150 Limited pick-up? Starts at just over $58K, per Ford's website. And people will pay that. For a freakin' pick-up truck......

^^ Damn but you people get some things cheap over there!! :yikes:

For just about everything you mentioned above except the Spyders (our Spyders retail at about the same numbers but in $AU) - but for the rest, you would probably hafta double the prices you mentioned above to be closer to the mark here in Aus!! And yet as you say, people will still pay that!!

There are more than just a couple of makes of bike that sell for over $50K new here, & I just checked BikeSales & it has about 4 pages of USED bikes listed at over $50K!! :sour:

That F150 Pick-up - over $110K here!! nojoke

I try to describe the experience of purchasing a very expensive compact car, them I drop the truth... "$24,196 and 56 cents..." them stop a few seconds adore the drooling slow coming down from the left side of the their mouth. Them I lie "LOL, I'm just kidding, it actually cost $32,582.56..."

Oh man, priceless reactions across the rainbow. Fun times.

Only 3 times in 4 years......It seems like about every other time I go out someone is asking What is it, How much is it and where did you get it....
