• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking about TricLED lights

I have run brake turn set from spyderpops very good instructions , tricleds instruction were not as thorough as spyderpops

OK then,
Reference to posts 14 and 15 above from Bob and Ric --- is there more to this seemingly simple procedure ?
Removed said 8 screws and the panel won't budge at all !!
And it's not like I'm a newb at removing plastic bits, gawd knows the FJR had many, but I really, really don't want to be buying plastic cement after I've used the pry bar ;) - kidding here ! Or maybe not, LOL

Sad in Sacramento :sour:
Please send replies in a plain brown wrapper so as not to humiliate me :D (really kidding now - flame on folks)

 There's eight of them...
Four up around the edge of the top trunk.
(Two in the center only hold the latch in place: leave them alone...)
And two more hidden down in the top rear corners of the saddlebags.

Thanks Bob,
My bad - I typed 6 instead of 8 (post edited)
The center two -- I already figured to leave alone but only after I'd loosened them :(
Looks like it's going to require more force and finagling than I've been willing to apply. :banghead:
I'll give it another try this weekend. I'll keep you updated with the positive result.

Getting that bodywork "unwrapped" from around the sides of the bike... is a real bitch! nojoke
You quickly find out that it wants to hang up in the grabrails. :gaah:
Take your time, and let patience guide you...good luck!

YES !! :D

Turns out my helper, Deb, has more patience than me (not surprising LOL)

Ten minutes removal and replacement. Now to order the light kit. :)

Thanks again Bob .... and Ric, for the instructions.

Digging deeper next time to get to the strut for the top case.
