• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking about removing front fenders...

I have seen several Spyders without them, and thought it might be a nice change ( could always switch back ). Of course I would need to check the laws in MD. If I do go this route, I will probably upgrade the rear view as far as turn signal. As far as front view, I guess I could upgrade to LED's in the turn signals, I assume they are brighter? Your opinions. Here is a friend of mines... :dontknow:931227_645295568820467_1171255796_n.jpg

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR......

ever heard that b4...?

the pix below were at BIKETOBERFEST in Daytona, back in 2011.... gr8 look'n rides... but i spoke with one of the guys at this site, and he said that without fenders, you get pelted with small stones and when the roads are wet, the tires throw water, mud all over the place... so if you decide to remove yours, get ready for some unwanted results.... good luck and let us know your decision.....

SORRY.... pix won't fit... 2 BIG.... but anyways, you get the idea....

took mine off a year ago and have been hit by zero rocks, Don't ride in the rain but I would imagine you get wet riding any vehicle without a top in the rain?????? Love the look a million times better without, IMHO but everyone has an opinion and they are like you know whats, everybody has one and yours is the only one that does not stink.

Here's the thing..!!

as you can all imagine traveling in a straight line things are pretty much safe from road dirt mud and water. But...if you have to turn you are going to get it all..if you never ryde in the rain or mud then you are relatively safe. Just the road dirt. Keep in mind that you are not the only thing that gets hit by all this the roadster and those around you will...I stay clear of those with no fenders...!! :lecturef_smilie:

Thanks for all the great advice and comments guys... will keep fenders :) ( don't feel like eating road dirt :p )..

Just wondering what states this would be legal, I know in Virginia you're not allowed to have but an inch or so of tire exposed on any vehicle. (Potential to throw debris on other vehicles)

:agree: The legal issues might be more worrisome than even the potential for road debris...
If it was my bike, and I was curious; I'd take a beautiful summer morning, and pop them off as an experiment...
And then put them back on before the Missus found out! :yikes:

Not to mention what all the gravel in a turn is doing to your Tupperware . . . .sandblasted blastic plastic isn't pretty!

Beside the obvious think nuts, bolts, grease drippings etc shirts, jackets, pants and human body parts that will take a beating. Plus rain and road slop and discards from the fast food joints that the brain dreads toss out the window for your dodging pleasure.

LOL.. ok, ok.... haha... Need to change title.. Thought about it... no, lol:roflblack: thanks again for all the input! As usual, Spyderlovers ROCK!!
