There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Thinking about adding Centramatic wheel balancers to the front of my RT

Why would you do that when you can take the tires off the bike and take them to any tire store and have them balanced? :dontknow:

Can I get a couple reviews (good or bad) from anyone who has added these to their Spyder ..?
Thanks

I have them on my F3L and Goldwing, and I love them. Smooth at highway speed with no abnormal tire wear. When the tire wears over time, weight is “shifted” to different positions, the balancer will compensate for tire wear as well as brake rotor, lug nut weight differential.
So, yes...I do recommend.
Keep in mind that you still need to have the wheels balanced with weights due to the limited weight the balancer add(3oz).

Thank you for your insight to how these have worked for you. I really never placed much thought into these until we ran into a couple yesterday and they were chatting about what upgrades they have done and what a different these have made for them. So it got me thinking about how and why I should consider getting a set at least for the front tires.
Thanks again.

The reality of doing that is nil for me. I understand your opinion on it but in reality I just would never get around to doing that.

It's very hard to find a tire store that can balance stock Spyder front wheels. Most balancing machines cones are too big for the center opening on the wheel, which will not let them seat properly. I have Centramatics on all 3 wheels and swear by them. I first used them on my 2015 RTL, removed them and put them on my 2020 RTL. They are good for life and multiple tire changes. You can't say that about the various types of beads that some folks use.

We have them on the wifes F3 all three wheels. I just went to see how much balance weight the fronts had, and realized that I just had the Formozas mounted at Walmart (buy them online and mounting is included) and we never had them balanced. Easy peazy when I swap wheels or when we get a new set...

Things are rolling smoothly!:2thumbs:

I brought my 2013 RTL front wheels to Discount Tire store to have them mount new tires, they did not have problem mounting or balancing the wheels. They charged me $22 per wheel. The guy asked me what car did those wheels come off, I told him it was a Spyder, he said that he has not worked with those before. The next week I brought the rear wheel to the same place to have them mount a new tire. Same guy, he did not have any problem mounting the tire, couldn't balance it because the bearing ID is too small. I think if I removed the wheel bearing they probably can balance the wheel.

I had them on all three wheels of my 2014 RTL. They work as advertised. They compensate for any changes in wheel balance/wear over time. Essentially. your wheels are rebalanced each time you ride. I don't think they have enough effect to totally compensate for extremely poor tires like some of the Kendas. But they were perfect on all 3 CTs on my Spyder..... Jim

I have them on mine. Had them on my Goldwing before selling the bike last year as well.

To me, a necessary upgrade..

And Bajaron’s sway bar!!! FWIW

I just added the rear balancer myself. I YouTubed how to get the back tire off and how much ft/lb of torque to apply to the rear brake rotor after installing the Centramatic balancer and torque to the rear axle. I’m a believer in how these balancers work.
