• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Think I'm missing a part.

Just picked up my new 2012 RTS. As my wife was looking it over after I got home, she asked me why there was such a big hole on the right side. She was talking about the two air vents just ahead of the break pedal, there is no mesh cover like on the left side.
Is this normal or am I missing a part. I need to go back to the dealer 'cause I didn't get a tool kit. Is this something I need to bring to his attention or is this area normally left open?

Thanks guys. It just looked kinda' strange. Guess I'll mount a cup holder there to keep my coffee warm :clap:.

Not unusual..!!

I mean the tool kit. I had wait while they ordered me one. When I worked for the dealers we had all the pertinent stuff for each bike in a packet.. I guess I can be thankful I got the two keys and the owners manual...yeah been asked on the road "why the hole on the side there..??"... Welcome to our world..the best there is..!! :thumbup:

:congrats::welcome:

I read somewhere, might have been on this forum:dontknow:, that the side vent is missing by design, to prevent build up of leaves and other road junk as they may blow through. Don't know how true that is, question for those that added the aftermarket grill does stuff get stuck on the inside?

Amazing

It never ceases to amaze me at how most of us, as owners, fail to notice that upon taking delivery!!!

i know I missed it totally :banghead:

i wondered why BRP does not make grills for all the openings???

Doc45... :welcome: Now that you've found the toolkit, and realized that there's nothing missing off of your bike; life is starting to look pretty darn great! :thumbup: :D An it's only going to get even better! :2thumbs:

Ya know, I think you're right. Went out today and finally got the old girl up to highway speed:clap:. Pretty darn nice. Now I'm thinking about a new seat. Guess I still got some Harley lift in me cause it seems like I should have my legs out in front more.
