• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Things better/safer than a 2 wheeler.....

Please list one thing that is better/safer since you purchased your Spyder.

1. Your body & head won't SLAM into the pavement because your front wheel slips out from under you in a curve...

Hard to come up with just one thing better/safer about the Spyder.... there's so many.

My #1 would have to be stability ..... love the Y factor.

Loose gravel -- NO problem with the :spyder2:

Wifey leaning the wrong way or moving around -- No problem with the :spyder2:

Railroad tracks -- NO problem with the :spyder2:

Wet pavement -- NO problem with the :spyder2:

if im throttle happy off the line i wont be seen with one wheel on the ground and the other at 12 oclock . or Wheelies are a little more difficult with the Y factor !!!!:shemademe_smilie:

The only problem so far is when the Missus catches me talking to pretty young things about my Spyder...
Other than that it's all good!:roflblack:

wow this list could get long. I will just add the one that somes it all up...

My wife is not only now "Wanting" to ryde almost any chance she can come up with, but she drives too! :2thumbs::doorag::spyder2:

Three point stance, whether we had VSS or not. The big ones in the desert are gravel patches, sand, oil, flat tires, road debris and ice/rain. The spyder is no guarantee, but bikes are going down all the time around here from gravel either in an intersection at low speed turn or coming to a stop or at speed while out riding. Sand drifts that are like black ice. Lack of rain in the desert causes a thick film of vehicle fluids that rises up once rain does arrive. Ice or hydroplaning, flat tires...just so many easy ways to go down on 2.

:agree:The condition of the roads out here with sand, gravel, water, (people draining pools and Fire Dept. flushing hydrants) is a constant hazard. I have had several friends go down in past years and now I don't worry about it. It is great peace of mind. :2thumbs:

Would not be riding if the spyder had not been invented. For this reason I am forever grateful to BRP for inventing the spyder :2thumbs:

The spyder has also helped people become enabled spyder ryders.:clap::ohyea:

They have a sport version that I do not have to hold up at stop lights.

Oh yeah, they are also highly customizable. :D

Compared to a fully laden motorcycle in France, 2-up, being asked to "please" back up a hill by an irritable French filly in a Citroen on a anarrow dirt road who had missed her turn off, the Spyder's reverse gear in my opinion would be an absolute winner! :firstplace:

I just wish I could live through that moment again, but this time aboard my RT!:spyder:

Stability, after hip replacement three wheels makes ryding much more comfortable.
Wife loves it, refused to ride on two wheeled vehicles.
