I don't buy that...misinformation...Exxon/Mobil has more alternative fuel ventures than any other company out there...they also employ how many hundreds of thousands of Americans? Their earnings are down too. They make money whether the price of oil is high or not...there is a crack spread that you have to keep an eye on and that is the price between crude and processed gasoline...it is many times the determining factor of what you pay at the pump. You also have to factor in what type of crude you're referring to?...sweet, heavy, etc...
Also, since when is it so bad to work hard and make profits...we're in a new era in this country where those who work hard and succeed are condemned for doing so and we lay guilt on them...and expect them to pay for everyone else...that is not the American way.
To Microsoft, Apple, Exxon/Mobil, Berkshire Hathaway (they own/control Geico, Travelers, Wells Fargo, and many more great companies), etc...keep up the good work...the better you do, the better our country will do.
Our country was built on hard work...we need to all get back to that work ethic...enough said...
Okay...time for me to hop off my soap box...
