I have been trying to buy a used BRP Comfort seat for my '08 GS for a good many months. Nearly got one but that fell through.

Tried to buy a used Corbin with backrest but the guy on this forum selling it seems to have dropped off the face of the earth & does not respond.

Yesterday I emailed my dealer in the Greater Montreal Area. Said they had one for $530CAD but if I purchased it before Dec 24th could have it for $423CAD. Now that is cheaper than any on ebay US!

I saved $70US in shipping, $60CAD in duty & import charges, $40 in the CAD/US currency exchange that would have been on top of the ebay price of $424.

Picked it up today despite the freezing rain.

It sometimes pays to actually ask your local dealer for a price

I get 10% off everything I buy from my selling dealer but other than that forget it, no deals! I bought a set of carbon black Tri-axis bars for my 13 RT/S from a dealer in Arizona at a HUGE savings and even got free shipping. My dealer won't install them but that's ok cause I'm going to do it myself.

glad you got a deal. We have the comfort seat on our RS 2012 and love it. Got it used here but had to search a long time on ebay, amazon, and here. The only thing I do at the dealer is warranty work. If you find a good dealer hang on to them..!! :thumbup:

This is where I bought my Spyder. They have some excellent techs and good service! Just wish we could get the overall cost down!

Yes, from Contant, but their Laval branch. They have branches in Laval, Mirabel & Ste Agathe.

I bought my Spyder from the Mirabel branch.

They have good deals on ebay, but the seat was not on ebay.
