• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There has to be someone to try this with a Spyder?

 :2thumbs:
The guy had time to eat a powerbar, wave to the folks in the helicopter, and get a feel for what happens when he revs the engine... :firstplace:
But It'd take a lot more sheets to keep 1000 pounds of Spyder floating gently to Earth...

Hi Bob,

Re: But It'd take a lot more sheets to keep 1000 pounds of Spyder floating gently to Earth...

I've seen video of 15 tons of rr boxcar go out the back door of an airplane. Actually, very interesting to watch the deployment in slow motion.

PS) What is the weight comparison to a snowmobile to a random Spyder?

Cool..!!

I mean its nice in cool weather in the snow...:2thumbs: but off a cliff with a rocky dusty dirty landing..?? Not in the cards for my spyder or its driver. I have been air borne a few times and I know the nanny is still comuting what to do if all three wheels leave the ground...:roflblack::roflblack:

Hi Jerry,
My gut tells me that a Spyder will weigh roughly TWICE what a snowmobile does...
If the rider's weight is a constant; there's got to be about a 500 pound difference.

Not so; Spyder RSS =699lb dry. Ski-Doo GSX SE = 694lb dry. (per BRP)

Heavy drop

I have kicked a few Deuce and a half heavy trucks out of C130 aircraft. Paratrooper things. Big fun!

I've kicked a drop test dummy out of a number of airplanes during equipment testing; definitely: Big Fun!!!

Well, that is until something does not go as planned. BTDT

As we like to say: Back to the drawing board.
