There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. (to date!) I left home, headed for a reunion of Titan II Propellant Transfer Specialists in Tucson, AZ. Day one was a ride to Knoxville, TN, then on to Oakland TN.

On the way to Oakland, I met Marion Moeller, for breakfast. She is the lady who makes and sells great medallions to replace the front and back BRP logos from any graphic you send her.

In Oakland, I spent two nights with a friend who was supposed to ride with me on his 2013 RT-S, but could not get vacation approved from work. On the 19th, he and I met Leira and Erick Del Toro for breakfast in Memphis (love their new F3s!) and Erick put new foam grips on Topper (thanks, they were really comfortable!) Leaving Memphis, I headed for Arkadelphia, AR to have lunch with a friend who also could not make the reunion. He asked me to bring a gallon of whiskey to the reunion, from him, and I bungeed it on my passenger seat. Ten minutes away from his house, the skies opened and I was smack in the middle of a hail storm. Hail stones really hurt at 70 MPH! The whiskey survived, fortunately, as did I.

Next stop was Texarkana, where I met another veteran, headed for the reunion. He was riding a really sweet Victory. We spent the night in Texarkana and left in the morning for Llano, TX. We met three folks from Houston in Llano, two on Spyders and a third on a Harley. We took two days getting to Tucson from Llano, rather than the planned three day trip, because the winds were up and scheduled to get worse. We spent one night in Van Horn, just about 400 miles, then pushed through to Tucson, a little over 430 miles.

The reunion was great, and I got to spend time with old friends.

On April 27th, I left Tucson for Mesa, AZ and spent a night with a cousin. Pressed on to Santa Fe, NM the next day, to another cousin's home . . . haven't see her in 40 years! After Santa Fe, I rode to Amarillo, TX to spend a night at an old friend's, then to Lawton OK, to another cousin's. Next was Conway AR, and a night at friend's home, who had been at the reunion, then up to Springfield MO for the last day of Spyder Fest. I had just over 4000 miles since the 14K service when I arrived at Pitbull. I checked with the service department and they were able to fit me in for an oil change. I spent the night at the RV Park on the fairgrounds with some really great folks, the Anctils, and had a great evening . . . until the old man in me sent me to bed! Next morning, I headed for Elizabethtown, KY and another cousin's (where he makes his own awesome beer!) It should have been a 475 mile ride, but turned into a 541 mile trip because of a bridge outage where Garmin had me crossing into Illinois, near Cairo. From Elizabethtown, I headed to Williamstown WV, just across the Ohio River from Ohio. My last day, less than 300 miles, got me home with a total of 5,390.3 miles on the trip meter.

Nice ride report!

Sounds like you had a great ride and an awesome time with family and friends!

You Titan guys (I'm a Minute Man II dude :doorag:) are a hoot...one of these days I'm going to have to go see the set-up you guys had...from what I've read and seen it was a resort compared to our 'modern' Tynenol capsules! :yikes:

Thanks again...appreciate you taking us along for the ride! :trike:

Thank you for sharing your trip. That will be one that is remembered as good times had by all.:yes:

I ran into that same bridge closure and detoured through Cairo. What a depressing little town. Really looked like there was nothing still open there. Lots of empty, dilapidated businesses.

Sounds like you had a great trip in both directions. Sorry I missed you, both in Tucson, (We left there on the 25th.} and in Springfield. Sounds like a great visit to the Titan Missile Site.
Thanks for the ride report. You've got some great memories.

5390.3 miles of fun? you're not deducting the miles in the "hail", dan??????:roflblack::roflblack:
Like I said on facebook, the hail was a new experience for me, so it goes in the positive column! Also, the gallon of whiskey didn't get broken!

Great..!!

that looks like a great loop. Glad you were able to make there and back and tell us all about it..well some...:roflblack:

I ran into someone on her way to Spyder Fest when I was ryding from Mesa AZ to Santa Fe, NM and we rode together for a short distance . . . and here is a pic of me and the guy from Florida, who I met in Texarkana, for the ride to the reunion, washing our rides in Tucson.

Finally, a video of the young lady I ran into on the road!
- it looks best if you bump it up to HD. The bridge we cross at 1:47 on the video is crossing the Salt River on US 60/SR77.

Nice scenery. And US60 West of Springfield looks much more fun than it was East of Springfield. Boring, flat, and straight.

If you went through Llano, TX you missed the biggest and best BBQ in the world. All kinds of different exotic meats and a 40 foot free salad bar. Boy those Texans sure know how to live.
