• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sounds like the first owner had a LO JAK installed, But i think there's a fee for that,
Maybe the first owner payed a few years in advance.:dontknow:
Give LO JACK a call maybe they can help.?

Lojak is a one time fee, paid when the dealer installs the unit. They do an awesome job of hiding them too. Lojak will not give you any info over the phone. I had to call them on a bike I purchased.

They might be thinking of the key being programed to the spyder.

The chip in the key is a vehicle deterrent system, meaning that it prevents from stealing. Theft recovery is usually a Lo Jack system or an embedded GPS device. BRP doesn't make one, but when you install a GPS locator, the installer reports it so it will reflect on the VIN history.
