An now for the three most feared words in the English language ... some assembly required ! hyea:

• Got to participate in the unboxing and assembly of the new ride today
• Assisted with the installation of the entertainment harness and the CB & communications system
• Did some mods to the CB ground bonding (pictures to follow on another thread)
• Installed the J&M CB antenna system (pictures to follow on another thread)
• Installed F4 tall/wide w/vent windshield

Tomorrow we get to put all of the tupperwear back in its proper place.

Too bad the weather is going to be a mess for the next few days.

My dealer is Virgil Naff's Lynchburg Kawasaki-Yamaha and the staff there is most excellent.

Mine is the second 2014 to be unboxed.

:congratsn your new Spyder! That would be fun to participate in the assembly -- do you work at the dealership? I don't think my dealer would let that happen!!

This weather seriously needs to get better soon. Worse than waiting for your Spyder is having to wait to ride it once you have it. My beauty has zero miles due to our "polar vortex" this year!! Ugh....:banghead::banghead:

The part number for the Harness Kit is 219400439 and the CB & Comm System is 219400532.

Start by bringing them doughnuts ... they love to see me come in !

My dealer was most accommodating and I was very appreciative for being able to be there during the process.

They completed the assembly this morning and I was able to confirm the operation of the helmet headset and CB & Entertainment systems.

No ride yet. I ordered the heated comfort seat and it should be in next week. Off to the DMV on Monday to make new friends.
