• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The RISERS that are no longer available

RSI RISERS

I went back and saw you got them from DK. But would like to see a better picture around the clutch lever. Don't know how much different the RT vs the GS on room around that area.

David, I found that brand of RISER back in 09 and used them on my 08 manual shift GS. When you have to grind them for the reservoir you can only mount them with the sloped end up facing forward, this allows for the least amount of grinding necessary. If you have a 4 1/2 angle grinder, I would get a very thin cutting blade and make your notch with that ...... Aluminum clogs most stones etc. very quickly but not a cutting blade ..... good luck ..... Mike

connections all done. still need to tuck things away and install the covers. still waiting on the replacement hydraulic line and banjo fittings from Dennis Kirk to get here, and some 7/8" I.D. rubber caps for the stub bar ends. then I can button part of it up. airbox has been removed and will be ordering JT's aircleaner assembly right after Christmas. with the airbox out of there you can actually see and work on the engine! should run cooler also. I know from just sitting on the bike my shoulders are more comfy.
Very nice work :thumbup::thumbup: ........ It's too bad the Pics are so dark :banghead::banghead::banghead: ........... Mike

as it is right now the reservoir lays right against the riser with no adjustment unless I grind a little material away. but it fits me so I figure i will leave it as is. only real thing I don't like about this is the heated grip wires the way I have them. I think I am going to drill the factory stub bars and run them down and out. the brand of the risers are RSI. these are 5". got them from ebay, not sure who supplied them.

The reservoir on the GS is different. I have 4" dog bone risers on mine. Just pulled everything off and took a cut off wheel like Mike suggested and now all is well with the way it sets.

I had took some off with a hand file. Never thought about the air grinder with the cut off wheel on it. Thanks again.

wiring is complete, new braided stainless hydraulic clutch line and banjo fittings installed. clutch system bled. it actually shifts to! :yes:all the controls work properly, even the heated grips. :yes:get my air cleaner assy from JT's and it'll be ready to roll. seat be done in a week or 2. having it cut so as to move me back a couple inches.

I had a set of Heli Bars on a 2014 Conciurs, very well made precision piece. Not sure if they have any for the Spyder. The Concours bars were about $850 I think.

Yep they do! I had Helibars on my 2010 RS-S.

everything is all back together. I like the risers positioning of my hands. volt meter and usb ports are installed. made a mud flap for the back. now to order the magnetic mirror attachment kit. and as soon as the roads get washed clean i'll be rolling.
