• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The Right Tool - what to use to adjust the passenger foot peg

I looked through the tool kit that came with my Spyder, only to find that there isn't a tool that will fit in the right way to allow me to raise the passenger foot peg (there is a wrench that fits, but I couldn't get it at an angle where I could get any leverage to actually turn it).

Has anybody found the perfect tool to quickly make the adjustment? Amazon links are always appreciated.

Thanks!

Just tried my ST. I think it should be the same. A 13mm socket on a 6 inch rachet works well.

I think you should have a 13mm socket tool in your tool pouch. Insert one of the screwdriver blades and handle from the kit, through the holes in the socket tool for leverage.

But

The wimpy little socket in the tool kit is wimpy. I'd use a real 13mm socket and wrench.

Something must have changed since they made my 2011 RT. I use an allen wrench to loosen the bolt after I flip the passenger footboard up, adjust and retighten.

Yep, on my 2015 RTS it's a 13mm hex and its the same as a '14 in that respect. As you know the bolt is recessed so use a 3/8 or 1/4 socket in order to get a grip
