Rode my Goldwing 76 miles to my dealer (90% back roads through upstate NY) this afternoon and swapped it for my new 12 Spyder RT Limited. I rode backroads the whole way there on the wing to intentionally do a quick back to back comparison. I had ridden 2 wheels for 30 years, then went to a 2008 GS and then a 2010 RTS and in the end of 2010 back to 2 wheels. Well after riding the same route 76 miles home I can say I made the right decision to go back to the "Y" factor. After a year on the wing and thousands of miles, it took me about 10 minutes to regain the "feel" of the Spyder and halfway home I was carving the corners like a steak knife. HUGE GRIN. Packing the Spyder tonight in preparation of a 1350 mile one way trip Friday to southwestern Florida to spend 8 days with my wife (She is flying in Monday) buzzing around southern Florida.
