The nanny don't like hic-ups.....

The Jag (2012 RS sm5) just rolled over the 30,000 mile mark and has performed well. The nanny and I go round and round but on my SITR trip I had two problems...the first was my right headlight went out...(a 15 min repair) and the second while coming back I had to make a couple of emergency stops due to people walking around the freeway picking up their :cus: that flew off their roof racks, you need to tie that stuff down folks.:hun: at any rate on one I did not down shift enough gears and stalled out. Restarted to find the screen flashing "check engine limp home mode":yikes: so pulled in the clutch while coasting turned off the engine pulled the key restarted and got rid of the limp home mode and rode on with the check engine. Having checked everything before leaving I knew things were fine and the bike was running great. I knew the computer (the nanny) needs more time to reset so at a lunch break it did. Took off from lunch and all was well again. Averaged 80 mph till I hit LA....opened up till I hit the beach crowd further south with believe it or not more people walking around the freeway :yikes: glad I'm home and run out back where these people don't go..:roflblack::roflblack: these are great machine but even the best have a hicup now and then and the nanny will let you know....:thumbup:

I argue with the nanny all the time! I crack the throttle hard and it just yells back at me and tells me to straiten the wheels out some more:roflblack:

Your set up is similar to mine so I know what you and the nanny discuss....:roflblack: you learn little tricks to keep her in check...:thumbup:

Learning a few tricks are good. I often say that the computer comes on sometimes just to let us know who is really in charge.

Mine stuck in 6th the other day (for no reason that I could determine), after shut off and re-boot, it was just fine.
